The FIA Research and Vehicle Safety Group is looking for a motivated and curious Research Engineer Trainee to join the team for a 12-month internship (with internship agreement) starting as soon as possible.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects focused on the research and development of innovative solutions to enhance safety in motor sport competition.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the development of internal software tools for improved accident data post-processing
- Assist with experimental testing and simulation activities within ongoing research projects
- Perform data analysis to support accident investigations and research initiatives
- Contribute to research project and accident reporting to relevant FIA working groups and commissions
- Conduct literature studies to support new research projects
PROFILE:
- Engineering student or recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proficient in data analysis tools and programming (Python or similar is a strong plus)Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Effective communication skills and team spirit
OUR OFFER:
- Monthly allowance: CHF 2,000
- Meal allowance: CHF 230/month
- Remote work: up to 40% of the working time
- Transportation: participation in public transport subscription or free parking provided
- Must be enrolled at a university and able to provide a valid internship agreement
- Start date: as soon as possible and no later than 1 September 2025
- Internship duration: 12 months
