Welcome to the Audi F1 Project. Audi will be competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship from 2026. The new team has three locations. Audi's Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Sauber Motorsport Technical Center, UK will be operational this year. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. What you need? The mindset of an athlete. Your mission
Coordination with design, prototype workshop, and project management regarding requirements and timelinesCoordination of internal capacity, machine utilization, and scheduling with internal productionExecution of make-or-buy decisionsEnsuring external supply needs are met through existing suppliersNegotiation and procurement of prototype parts from external suppliersOrder processing, schedule tracking, and escalation in case of bottlenecksAlignment of quality requirements with involved departmentsCoordination with goods receiving, quality control, and accountingCoordination of rework for externally manufactured parts
Your profile
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Management, Technical Business Administration, or Mechanical Engineering with a manufacturing focusSeveral years of experience in operational purchasing, technical procurement, or production planning in an industrial settingIn-depth knowledge of make-or-buy processes, supplier communication, and schedulingProficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle)Technical understanding of drawings, manufacturing processes, and proceduresKnowledge of additive manufacturing processes is a plusConfident negotiation skills and strong organizational talent in cross-functional rolesExcellent communication skills in collaboration with production, purchasing, and designFluent in German and English
