Our materials meet the highest quality requirements and are produced in a tightly organized process. To make this process run smoothly, we are looking for a precise and analytical Manufacturing Engineer who forms the link between sales, engineering, quality and production.
Your role: ensuring that production is optimally prepared
As Manufacturing Engineering, you ensure that productions run smoothly and efficiently. You delve into customer specifications, the technical guidelines for how a product should be made exactly, and translate these into clear instructions for production. You request specifications from sales, process these in production documents and ensure that operators and engineers can get started with the right information.
In addition, you make cost calculations, analyze production parameters and support R&D in test productions. You switch between different departments, work accurately and sometimes dive into production yourself to find out how something can be made best.
This role requires a good understanding of materials and processes. That is why we offer an extensive training period, so that you learn all the ins and outs. This also makes the role interesting for colleagues within Toray who already have experience with our materials and processes and want to develop further in a coordinating role.
What you do specifically:
Requesting customer requirements from sales and translating them into clear production information;
Delving into customer specifications and ensuring that products are made according to the correct guidelines;
Processing technical specifications in production documents, so that production runs efficiently;
Calculating cost prices and production times as input for quotations;
Collaborate with operators and process engineers to address production challenges;
Supporting R&D in pilot productions to ensure smooth innovations.
Setting more important than background
You are accurate, analytical and have strong communication skills. You work in a structured manner, switch easily between departments and keep an overview.
MBO+/HBO work and thinking level in a technical direction (e.g. mechanical engineering, chemical technology, materials science);
Accurate and structured, you ensure that all information is complete and correct;
Strong analytical skills, you understand processes and think in terms of improvements;
Good communication skills, you can switch smoothly between sales, production and engineering;
Hands-on mentality, you are not afraid to enter the factory yourself;
Experience with ERP systems and Excel, you know how to process data and cost calculations;
Good command of Dutch and English, you work in an international environment.

A salary between €3,000 and €3,500 gross per month for a 40-hour working week;
