F1 is looking for a Fan Insights Executive to join our growing team. This role will report to the Fan Insights Manager and help fulfilling the brief to make Formula 1 one of the most influential companies in the world. Being passionate about our fans sits at the heart of our values and is key to how we will deliver our performance ambition.
This role will fit into a small team rooted in a ‘Planning’ philosophy mindset, with the ambition to build on the foundations of existing analytics capabilities to establish thought leadership, within and beyond functional research expertise, strongly influencing brand building thinking, growth, and how we do marketing at Formula 1.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Own Audience Data:
Consolidate, validate and interrogate global TV audiences, liaising with data suppliers and internal (e.g. media rights) and external stakeholders (e.g. broadcasters).
Consolidate, validate and interrogate audience data for digital channels (e.g. website, social).
Own Regular Reporting:
Produce race reports which consolidate data across TV audiences, spectators, F1 digital channels, social media. This includes being a point of contact with different channel owners to request information, and use of social media tracking tools such as Brandwatch.
Support data input and validation for digital dashboards owned by the data analytics team.
Own the online F1 Research Portal for external shareholders.
Support with Data Requests / Reports / Presentations:
Respond to data requests from internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Marketing / Comms / Legal / Finance / Partners), often under time pressure with great accuracy, and with the ability to understand how to structure the information to support the narrative most relevant to their needs.
Support the Fan Insights Manager and Head of Data & Insights in preparing presentations that require data input from BAU data, online syndicated research platforms, and existing research datasets.
Additional Research Support:
Manage day-to-day operations of the F1 Fan Voice research community platform including planning, running and delivering adhoc research projects within the platform.
Support the Fan Strategy Manager with larger adhoc research projects working with suppliers and a range of internal and external stakeholders.
About You
Experience in a data, insights, or strategy role – client or agency side
Experience in managing customer / fan measurement data – e.g. tracking and reporting TV audiences, digital audiences
Experience in supporting research projects
Ability to understand data and generate insights.
Truly collaborative, a team player, but an objective voice of reason.
Good communication skills and ability to interact with those of a variety of different backgrounds and levels of seniority, as well as different culture and perspectives.
Ability to translate insights and ideas into commercial terms.
