The Senior Studio Broadcast Engineer is responsible for the production operating systems and overseeing the technical aspects of live studio productions. The Engineer is tasked with working in a post/live facility to service the engineering needs of clients involved in the live production of radio and television shows.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Manage the day-to-day engineering duties and maintenance of equipment on live and live-to-tape shows.
Use knowledge and expertise to build and program control rooms for studio shows.
Configure and patch connections between cameras, microphones, amplifiers, fiber transmitters, RTS, and auxiliary power supplies to relay broadcast material to master control.
Use knowledge and expertise to test and troubleshoot equipment in preparation for broadcast.
Lead team responsible for Studio LED walls, technical studio setup, and integrations.
Teach and guide operators on proper processes to achieve the goals set by the producers of each show.
Run and maintain control rooms, studios and other parts of the Broadcast facility.
Execute switcher programming, audio console programming, intercom programming, and other necessary live broadcast programming.
Maintain communication channels in order to quickly identify and resolve problems and/or broadcast interruptions.
Provide technical support for the IT and other Engineering Departments.
