Break-Out Technician – Twilight Shift

We have opportunities for a Break-Out Technician to join our company at our Brackley site. We work to the highest standards and our Laminating team are a critical part of managing this and supporting the production areas.
This is a twilight shift, working Monday to Thursday. Core hours are 4:00pm to 2:30am. We offer competitive rates of pay, company pension, 19 days holiday plus the bank holidays, private healthcare and the opportunity for overtime during peak periods.
Purpose of the job:
The role of Break-Out Technician is to work alongside the laminating department by assisting with daily tasks of releasing components from moulds, which will ensure the department runs smoothly. Listed below are the main responsibilities associated with the position.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities:
Release components from moulds using air/hand tools, ensuring release directions and procedures are followed, with due care and attention.
Fully assemble patterns with weirs once moulds have been broken.
Have a flexible approach to working hours as required by company projects, as this role will also incorporate other tasks on an ad-hoc basis.
When autoclave cycle has finished, the operator has opened the clave door, unload the claves and take parts into break-out dept.
Liaise with department supervisors to prioritize work.
Capable of listening to and following instructions from supervisors.
Be proactive in all aspects of daily tasks.
Quality and Standards:
Remove any further debris from mould with appropriate tools i.e. scrapers, brushes and blow guns.
Fully reassemble moulds once cleaned.
Report damaged moulds or parts to supervisors.
Ensure released components are always supervisor inspected, labelled correctly, route card signed and placed with part and the part follows next the route card stage.
Ensure work area is kept clean and tidy.
SKILLS:
Have experience in a similar fast paced / high pressure industry.
Attention to detail.
Good communicational and written skills.
Capable of reaching set targets within given time frame.
