We have a new opportunity to be part of the Finance team in the role of Finance Business Partner - Payroll.
In this role you will be required to:
Business Partner
Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with senior executive leaders.
Lead on financial and resource matters; influence decision-making; improve the understanding of business performance; deliver analysis and insight on business opportunities; provide options and scenarios for business decisions.
Analysis
Collection, analysis, and management of quantitative financial data, creating meaningful reports, drive business improvements and recommend improvements.
Prepare and present detailed payroll analysis to senior management, highlighting key insights and offer recommendations where possible.
Ensure payroll processes are efficient by working with the HR team to ensure the validity and accuracy of headcount data across forecasting cycles providing robust forecasts with insights
Provide timely analysis of the actual costs incurred vs forecast and budget.
Assist in the implementation of forecasting / budgeting tools and data migration ensuring efficiently and accurately.
Transform the current headcount process using excel and other tools to enhance business reporting and assist the wider team in adding value.
Identify and implement improvements to headcount related processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control.
Conduct thorough analysis of payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings both from a cash and cost cap perspective.
Collaborate with the HR team to analyse headcount driven costs to further drive value within the cost centre.
OTHER
Identify and implement improvements in systems and processes to ensure all work carried out is efficient and value adding.
Assist the other Finance Business Partners, FP&A team and FA team with ad-hoc requests to support the business when required.
Key skills:
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
EXPERIENCE
Highly analytical and detail-oriented, you possess a strong business sense,
You combine your professional competency with an ability to develop new ideas, and creative solutions: you also have a track record of implementing these to great effect,
Organised multitasker: you prioritise your workload, enabling you to meet tight deadlines, while achieving results, especially in a fast-paced, high-growth environment,
You’re a proven communicator, with excellent presentation skills when working with multiple peer groups and varying levels of seniority,
Significant management accounting experience.
Experience of business partnering.
Candidates with a SME background will also be considered.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Expert in use of Microsoft Excel
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities with ability to challenge effectively across departments
Analytical mind-set and an eye for detail, capable of working quickly to a high standard of accuracy
Comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment, dealing with a high volume of workload
Communicate information effectively verbally and in writing with use of graphical tools as necessary
Uses problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to work under pressure, prioritising own work and the work of the team in an organised and accurate manner within tight deadlines, keeping calm and focussed
Be enthusiastic and versatile and be able to build, develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues
