General Summary:
This position reports to the Heritage Lead Mechanic or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible for the assembly, servicing, and repair of the team's Race Cars, Heritage Cars, Show Cars, associated parts, and pit equipment. Expected to attend all Heritage Car associated events.
General Responsibilities:
Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
Responsible for the build, condition, and maintenance of all Carbon related items on the Heritage cars.
Mentor, train, and guide personnel as required. Develop staff and department processes to enable efficient workflow.
Required to demonstrate a company focused attitude to organize and guide the team while keeping morale high under difficult circumstances or tight deadlines.
Report reliability issues as they occur and seek advice before undertaking any out of the ordinary tasks.
Responsible for the cleanliness and condition of the work
Follow Engineering procedures and protocols as dictated by the Haas F1 Team pertaining to assembly, operation, and safet
Responsible for the condition and maintenance of all Wings, Bodywork, Floors and Brake ducts when trackside ensuring they meet all build and quality specifications for all Heritage related projects.
Responsible for the assembly of the teams Heritage cars to correct specifications and allocations.
Management of stock levels of components, spares, and consumables, working closely between trackside, factory, and suppliers to ensure repairs can be conducted both in the factory or trackside if required.
Align with the Heritage Lead Mechanic, to ensure all relevant specs of Aero build components are packed or built in readiness for Heritage events.
Responsible for the parts, spare parts, tooling, garage equipment and other operational equipment associated with Heritage projects, and ensuring all equipment is readily available and packed to support relevant events.
Work closely with the Design Office and Reliability Engineers on Faults to ensure all actions/remedies are in place and to offer solutions/fixes or plans to ensure there are no repeat occurrences.
Have a good understanding of all car parts, process, and procedures.
Follow Lifing and UIIL requirements to ensure full compliance is met in line with the regulations and team’s expectations – this includes having the Heritage Car’s built correctly on to relevant lifing systems.
Assist and support chosen departments to facilitate Turnarounds, Engineering Projects, Car Builds and Event Support.
Assist in the planning and managing of any rig testing throughout the season such as K&C or 7 Post.
Assist and work with the Parts Coordinators, managing the Turnaround and flow of composite components between the track, factory, and suppliers.
Ensure the team’s Show Cars and Race Bay presentation meets cooperate branding guidelines and expectations.
Expected to undertake NDT training and certification to be able to support on event if required.
Support the Race Team and RTS Departments when required.
Expected to be able to take part in Pit Stops.
Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
Other duties as assigned by the Heritage Lead Mechanic or their designee.
Education and Work Experience:
GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required. Further education including trade school, appreciating or university degree desired.
Previous experience in a similar mechanical role within Formula 1, World Sports Cars, or F2 is preferred – however consideration will be given to a candidate who can demonstrate professionalism and a sound record of service within the Motorsport Industry.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
A comprehensive mechanical understanding gained in Formula 1 motor racing.
An ability to read and interpret technical drawings and information pertaining to assembly, periodic updates and modifications.
A comprehensive understanding of composite repair methods including bond preparation, resin selection and laminating techniques gained in a trackside environment, ability to apply these skills often in a limited time frame and under pressure.

Equipment and Applications:
Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Dynamics AX and 3DX
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.
Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require extensive domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids.
