Key Responsibilities
Lead the insourcing of composite manufacturing, including recruitment strategy, equipment installation, process optimisation, and capacity planning to meet performance and delivery targets.
Drive operational performance by optimising resource allocation, production schedules, workflows, and cost forecasting to deliver high-quality output efficiently and within budget.
Improve quality and delivery of composite assemblies by implementing robust process controls and partnering with the Quality team to meet exacting standards.
Develop the composite laminating function by growing the team, advancing skills, and introducing technologies such as CATIA workbenches, digital clean rooms, and laser projection systems.
Provide strategic leadership across all areas of composite production, setting clear goals, KPIs, and metrics, while fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and team empowerment.
Embed strong communication and collaboration with Production Control, Procurement, Build, Design, and Race Team to align priorities and ensure consistent delivery.
Champion operational excellence through visual management systems, executive and workgroup KPIs, and active participation in cross-functional performance reviews.
Manage and develop a high-performing team with clear responsibilities, aligned to our values and a culture of safety, transparency, and accountability.
Promote a positive, inclusive work environment through coaching, training, performance reviews, and leadership development.
Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, promoting a safety-first culture across all areas of responsibility.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Extensive knowledge of composite manufacturing processes within high-performance or motorsport environments.
Proven experience leading and developing technical departments in fast-paced, evolving settings.
Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver insourcing strategies, including recruitment, equipment commissioning, and process development.
Strong track record of delivering quality and efficiency improvements through continuous improvement and innovation.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
Experience managing costs and delivering manufacturing output within financial constraints.
Ability to remain calm, confident, and decisive under pressure, balancing multiple priorities effectively.
Commitment to developing people and fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and professional growth.
Clear understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a manufacturing environment, with a proactive approach to embedding standards.

This is a full-time office-based role based at our campus in Silverstone, with additional requirement to travel to other locations where necessary.
