About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our team for a Composite Production Planner.
In this role, you will be scheduling tasks across the composite manufacturing operation that includes laminating, fitting, machining, and NDT/Inspection. The composite manufacturing team is responsible for the manufacture of structural components such as the chassis, transmission carrier and wings. We manufacture components for both our F1 program and a number of customer programs.
Your Responsibilities:
Master production planning of the composite manufacturing operations.
Create and maintain production schedules to ensure all company goals are achieved and deadlines are met.
Manage the department capacity to meet the overall business priorities, balancing the priorities of F1 and customer supply.
Ensure adequate raw material stock levels are available.
Maximize the utilization of all manufacturing assets through efficient scheduling and effectively communicating throughout the business.
Deliver accurate demand and delivery forecasts.
Liaise with operational leads to generate level loading of work.
Complete and facilitate the annual rough-cut capacity planning.
Monitor and validate lead times to ensure the effective planning of new orders in line with finite capacity models, product flows paths and planned volumes.
Candidate Profile:
Preferably degree qualified in Manufacturing, Engineering or Business.
Understanding of composite manufacturing processes.
Demonstrated background in planning/scheduling roles.
Strong planning, organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
A proactive thinker with attention to detail.
Ability to positively motivate individuals and teams to meet or exceed expectations.
Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
Programming skills such as VBA, Python would be an advantage.
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP is an advantage.
Lean/Six Sigma certification will be an advantage.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
