We have an opportunity for a Lead Engineer - CFD Process to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will lead a group of multi-disciplined engineers responsible for developing tools, applications and workflows that provide capability across the team’s Aerodynamics department, forming part of the critical CFD pipeline required to develop the team’s race cars. Principal Accountabilities:
Management and responsibility for the CFD Process Team
Technical lead for the CFD Process Team
Develop and implement methodologies, tools, and workflows to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our CFD process.
Work with Aerodynamicists and CFD engineers to solve problems and develop processes.
Responsible for the delivery of robust, observable, testable & performant processes.
Ensure that CFD simulations and analysis carried out within the department are aligned with the capability of the tools.
Overseeing the optimisation, maintenance, and support of new and existing codes, processes, and toolkits.
Working and contributing across multiple disciplines of the CFD group; including process, external flows, internal flows, thermal modelling, and pipeline development.
Lead software engineers to translate engineering codes into robust applications.
Assist and contribute to the long-term HPC strategy.
Manage the day-to-day activities of the CFD process group.
Provide support to users of the CFD process.
