We have an opportunity for an Aerodynamics Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will work within the Aero Development Team, employing cutting-edge techniques to deliver aerodynamic performance to the race car. This will involve analysing computational and wind tunnel data and fostering innovation throughout the design and development process. Principal Accountabilities:
Deliver aerodynamic performance to the race car, by analysing CFD and wind tunnel data as well as innovating throughout the design and development process.
Build an understanding of the aerodynamic structures and behaviors around the race car.
Work with management groups to construct a mutually agreed and communicated aerodynamic development plan.
Suggest, investigate and, where applicable, implement new methods and processes to improve efficiency of aerodynamic ideas generation, design, testing, analysis, and reporting.
Contribute to collaborative discussions and efforts to improve whole-car performance, offering ideas and taking on board feedback from others.
Communicate key findings, opportunities and threats to the Lead Engineer.
Occasional travel may be required as part of this role.
