About The Teams
We are looking for a new colleague as the Team Leader of Supplier Management for Heat Treatment & Gears, Bering, Steel & Forging Process Technologies for our business Wind Power, at our location of Tianjin, China.
What you can look forward to as SQA Team Leader:
- Ensure, in conjunction with other areas such as Program Purchasing, Quality, Commodity Purchasing the adequate quality of the products and services delivered by the external suppliers.
- Lead a team of local supplier quality engineers to ensure full support to the business needs while fostering team cooperation and ZF and customer quality and EHS requirements.
Local Suppliers Management. like: Monitor and report on plant level the supplier quality performance and supplier readiness activities. Ensure on plant level adherence to supplier quality performance targets and supplier readiness planning. Supervise the daily operations of the local Supplier Management dept. including supplier readiness activities (risk assessments, technical reviews, APQP, safe launch), complaint handling incl. cost recovery, SDR handling, supplier auditing (VDA6.3, technological), supplier quality escalations, QD83 negotiations, cost reductions and supplier development activities. Supervise, evaluate and coach the plant Supplier Quality Engineers. Plan training according to the required qualifications for the plant Supplier Quality Engineers. Oversee progress of 8Ds related to major supplier related complaints. Oversee implementation of major changes that impact products / processes of suppliers. Coordinate with BU IW implementation of ZF Group and BU IW tools and procedures for Supplier Management. Coordinate with BU IW implementation of Supplier Management strategy. Manage local budget for Supplier Management Department.
- Keep learning for optimization of the Quality, safety and environment.
Your Profile as SQA Team Leader:
- Education: Bachelor or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or metallurgy or related field. At least 5 years’ working experience in foundry (or relevant experience); with the knowledge of Bearing, or Heat Treatment, or Steel & Forging marterials and processes technologies. At least 2 years of team managment experiences.
- Commodity specific technology: Heavey medal related commodity specific technology (operations and inspections) like Bearing, or Heat Treatment, or Steel & Forging is mandatory, finish machining and 3D CMM measurement is strongly recommended; Required to have comprehensive knowledge or be skilled of conducting quality related topics like: 8D problem solving, APQP quality planning, VDA6.3 process audits, FMEA product and process risk assessments, Technical statistics, IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 Basics.
- Be fluent in both English and Chinese as working language and eligible to work in China.
