Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
You will support the embedded software development in structured R&D projects and in software ecosystems for prototyping. You will contribute to innovation projects, enable software ecosystems for prototyping, collaborate with partner teams, and establish an internal/external network.
- Develop, test and verify embedded software in the field of embedded system projects
- Enable Infineon MCU portfolios for Arduino, ROS and Zephyr software ecosystems
- Develop and test embedded SW libraries mainly for actuators and sensors for Infineon MCU hardware platforms
- Capture, analyze and understand requirements and break down into structured work packages
- Represent Infineon on events like trade fairs and university fairs
- Supervise working students and interns to develop your leadership skills
Your Profile
Qualifications and skills to help you succeed:
You work conscientiously on making things better, faster, and more efficient and you are able to quickly establish a successful collaboration. You are a team player, self-learner with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics or a comparable discipline
- At least 2 years of professional experience in embedded software development preferred in semiconductor industry or in the field of robotics, with hands-on experience in C, C++ and Python
- Experience with embedded Real-Time Operating Systems (such as Zephyr and FreeRTOS), as well as with embedded system development workflows and tools
- A very good knowledge of MCU architecture/operation (interrupts, IPC etc.) and communication peripherals (Ethernet, CAN, UART, SPI etc.)
- Good knowledge of ROS 2 and simulation tools (Isaac Sim, MuJoCo) would be a plus
- Fluency in English is mandatory, proficiency in German and Italian is a plus

The stated salary comprises annual base pay and target variable compensation. The starting salary is determined using objective, gender neutral criteria, including relevant experience, qualifications, and role scope; prior compensation is not requested or considered.
