As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) within the Industrial & Infrastructure (I2) Segment, you will play a unique dual role: providing technical support while acting as a bridge between engineering insights and market intelligence. Unlike traditional design-in focused roles, this IGP position emphasizes translating complex technical findings into structured business content and synthesizing market trends. You will strengthen the FAE team’s influence by creating high-quality technical materials for internal stakeholders (Marketing, Product, Sales) and gaining deep market understanding through limited, strategic customer interactions.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
Technical Content & Knowledge Translation
- Translate detailed technical findings from FAE engineering work into clear, structured, and impactful content for internal teams (Marketing, Product, Sales).
- Strengthen the FAE team’s collective competence by developing standardized technical deliverables and improving the consistency of external technical communication.
- Assist in creating technical collateral that amplifies the team’s expertise in key industrial applications.
Market Intelligence & Application Insight
- Track, analyze, and synthesize market trends, customer needs, and technical challenges in selected application areas, specifically PSU (Power Supply Units), ESS (Energy Storage Systems), and SST (Solid State Transformers).
- Support limited customer interactions primarily to build market and customer understanding (not primarily for design-win targets).
- Provide feedback on product competitiveness and technical gaps based on field observations.
IGP Rotation & Leadership Development
- Complete at least three different assignments, including one international assignment.
- Work on challenging topics in international project teams across functions and departments.
- Build strong global relationships and form a network across sites through regular IGP meetings and conferences.
