DUTIES : Interface with product, tooling team and design team to understand design and dimensional risks. Interface with suppliers to identify the product dimensional performance and the impact on the overall build. Lead dimensional variation reduction activities – slow builds, fixture builds, understanding variation stack ups and risks to finished level assemblies. Lead analysis of parts and assemblies using virtual tools – Team Center, Polyworks, and Scanning equipment. Overall lead by program on all dimensional build concerns. Work on root causing issues, defining corrective action plans, and validating the corrective action plans. Interface with assembly plant labor workforce – union, and plant leadership. Lead the process development of the work to ensure consistency across the organization. Provide training and mentorship to peers and new engineers. Monitor dimensional performance to identify potential risks to assembly process, quality or customer experience. Technical problem solving on build issues and process issues. Supervises three Dimensional Matching Engineers, Scanning Resources. 30% domestic travel required. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
