About the Role
Stellantis is seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Director to lead the overall operations and performance of our Gurun Manufacturing Plant.
This role carries full responsibility for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People Development and Plant Financial Performance, while ensuring compliance with Stellantis Production Way and global manufacturing standards.
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership across Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, HSE, Human Resources and Finance to drive operational excellence, plant transformation and future growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Leadership & Business Performance
- Lead overall plant operations and business performance.
- Develop and execute plant strategies aligned with regional and global objectives.
- Drive productivity, operational excellence and competitiveness initiatives.
- Ensure achievement of production, quality, financial and operational targets.
Manufacturing Operations
- Lead Body Shop, Paint Shop, General Assembly and End-of-Line operations.
- Drive production efficiency, capacity utilization and waste reduction.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality and customer requirements.
Engineering & Continuous Improvement
- Lead Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering and Maintenance functions.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Industry 4.0 and automation initiatives.
- Improve OEE, productivity, cost efficiency and equipment reliability.
Financial Management
- Own plant P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow performance.
- Manage operating budgets and capital expenditure plans.
- Drive cost reduction and profitability improvement initiatives.
People & Organizational Leadership
- Develop and lead a high-performing leadership team.
- Drive talent development, succession planning and employee engagement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Manage employee and union relations proactively.
Stakeholder Management
- Represent the Gurun Plant with regional leadership, government agencies, customers, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- Support localization, industrial development and future business expansion projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 15 years of automotive manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 8 years in senior manufacturing or plant leadership roles.
- Proven experience managing complete vehicle assembly operations.
- Strong knowledge of Body Shop, Paint Shop, General Assembly, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality Systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading plant start-up, expansion or transformation projects.
- Proven ownership of plant P&L, cost management and operational performance.
- Experience managing large unionized workforces is highly preferred.
