Supervising personnel on production lines and coordinating activities with blending and maintenance. The Production Supervisor will have the responsibility of ensuring safety, quality, and productivity between Packaging Technicians, Maintenance Personnel, and Quality personnel.
Responsibilities Include:
Facilitate and coordinate packaging schedules to support multiple production lines. This includes direct interactions with the scheduling team, management team, blending team, and maintenance team. Supervise production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established production and quality standards while effectively and efficiently utilizing available manpower/staffing. Ensure weekly production schedules are met.
Define, prepare, and analyze production and efficiency reports and trends.
Track employee attendance, time card activities, and V-Learn (electronic safety training).
Assist maintenance team in issuance of permit to contractors, coordinate contractor activities.
Drive continuous improvement through 5S programs, lean manufacturing techniques, and/or other programs.
What You’ll Need:
4-year degree preferable in production / supply chain operations.
3-5 year’s experience preferred supervisor in a production environment. Preference is for experience in high-speed packaging environment.
Continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) experince preferred.
Detailed oriented, multitasking abilities
Experience leading a team
May be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to walk, bend, stoop, lift and stand for extended periods of time.
Proficient in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and ERP systems.
Ability to travel up to 5%
