At Synopsys, we're looking for a Technical / Product Publications, Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical publications team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality documentation and training materials for our complex tools and methodologies.
About the Role
You will be working on creating documentation and training materials for Virtual Prototyping tools, including GUI-based procedures and lab exercises on real-time use cases. You will also be coordinating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and design teams to seek inputs and review feedbacks.
Responsibilities
- Create documentation and training materials of complex tools and methodologies catering to Virtual Prototyping tools.
- Create GUI-based procedures/lab exercises on real-time use cases.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and design teams to seek inputs and review feedbacks.
- Well versed with Windows and Linux platforms and ability to use complex tools.
- Work on strict timelines and deliver docs with expected quality.
- Maintain the docs/trainings to be always in sync with the latest tool version.
- Be a good team player and contribute to meeting team assignments.
- Adhere to the conventions as per the Synopsys Style Guide in documentation.

Requirements
- B.Tech/B.Sc/MCA in Computer Science with basic programming knowledge and entry-level experience writing technical documentation (e.g., user manuals, developer guides, or product documentation).
- Strong command of written English with attention to grammar, structure, and clarity; familiarity with American English spelling conventions.
- Hands-on experience authoring in DITA XML and comfort working directly with XML code.
- Familiarity with software development life cycles and document development life cycles.
- Ability to learn new tools and technical domains quickly, ask clarifying questions, and translate complex information into usable content.
- Experience with Oxygen Author or similar structured authoring tools is a strong plus.
- Background in EDA, semiconductor, or technical software documentation is a plus.
Team
You will join a technical publications team that works closely with product development, IP engineering, and EDA tool teams across Synopsys. The team collaborates across geographies to document complex semiconductor design tools and methodologies, ensuring that engineers worldwide have the resources they need to use Synopsys products effectively.
