We are recruiting for a Metrology Programmer role to be based in Woking. The purpose of the role is to examine and measure components to ensure they meet the high-quality standards required by McLaren Automotive.
The role of Metrology Technician encompasses the following activities:
- Reading drawings and following McLaren quality plans and other specifications to obtain product information
- Verifying dimensional accuracy of components and/or tooling used within the manufacturing process
- Notifying supervisor/team leader when the product fails to meet standards
- Report measurement data to the relevant internal customers
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a significant level of experience in metrology/inspection, a mechanical engineering background, preferably with experience in the Automotive or Aerospace industry. You will also need to be able to read engineering drawings with a good understanding of GD&T and have experience in using Catia V5, CMMs' with PC-Dmis or Polyworks software, portable measuring equipment – Faro and Romer, and Delcam PowerInspect & Polyworks software.
