Your Role:
Maintenance and Facilities Manager is responsible for leading plant maintenance and facilities operations to ensure safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective support of manufacturing activities. The role oversees facility infrastructure, utilities, maintenance systems, contractor management, and project execution while driving equipment uptime, service performance, and continuous improvement across the site.
What You'll Do:

Lead maintenance and facilities strategy and day-to-day execution to ensure safe, compliant, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations.

Provide overall leadership for facility operations, utilities, building systems, and maintenance activities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water, and other site infrastructure.

Ensure all facility operations and maintenance activities comply with applicable GM codes, safety requirements, and environmental regulations.

Drive preventive and predictive maintenance execution through work-order and CMMS disciplines to improve equipment uptime, reliability, and asset performance.

Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement of facilities and utility systems to minimize downtime and sustain operational readiness.

Lead facility and maintenance projects from request initiation through delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

Manage annual maintenance and facilities budgets, monitor expenditures, control spare-parts usage, and identify cost-saving opportunities through efficiency improvements.

Plan and execute purchasing activities for maintenance materials, spare parts, contracts, and external services, while monitoring receipt and supplier execution.

Manage contractors, service providers, and third-party resources to ensure safe execution, technical quality, and compliance with GM contractor-management processes.

Partner with Manufacturing, Production, Engineering, Quality, and other stakeholders to prioritize work, respond to site needs, and assure customer satisfaction on completed activities.

Build team capability through staffing, training, coaching, performance management, and productivity improvement initiatives to meet business demands across operations.

Foster a culture of safety, accountability, responsiveness, and continuous improvement while escalating major risks, resolving issues quickly, and sustaining high service performance.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualification)
Educational and Experience Background:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

10+ Years of experience in the field.

Solid experience in maintenance, facilities, utilities, or plant engineering leadership within a manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of facility systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, compressed air, chillers, water treatment, and general building services.
Skills & Abilities :

Proven ability to lead maintenance and facilities teams and manage day-to-day operations across multiple priorities and customer needs.

Experience developing and executing preventive maintenance plans and work-order management through CMMS systems such as Maximo or equivalent.

Strong understanding of GM, legal, and regulatory safety, environmental, and occupational health requirements related to facilities and maintenance operations.

Experience managing contractors, service providers, and external resources in compliance with safety and execution requirements.

Ability to manage budgets, spare parts, purchasing activities, and service contracts while controlling cost and supporting operational continuity.

Strong project management capability, including planning, execution, scheduling, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly to operational issues across multiple shifts.
