What you will do (responsabilities):

Oversee the accurate and timely preparation, filing, and payment of tax returns across Pacific Cluster countries, including indirect taxes, corporate income tax, transfer pricing, and withholding taxes.

Manage multi-country tax obligations and ensure compliance with local, provincial, and municipal requirements across the cluster.

Lead interactions with tax authorities, manage audits, respond to information requests, and coordinate legal defense strategies when needed.

Reconcile tax accounts, ensure accurate tax impact recording in financial statements, and prepare reports for local leadership and global headquarters under IFRS and US GAAP.

Monitor the changing tax and regulatory environment across Pacific Cluster countries and assess the impact of new laws and rulings on business operations.

Drive process improvement, standardization, and automation within the tax function using ERP systems such as SAP and tax-specific tools.

Lead, mentor, and develop a small team while managing external consultants, auditors, agencies, and indirect stakeholders.
Your skills and abilities (required qualifications):

Bachelor’s degree in Public Accounting or equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance, ideally within a multinational company or a Big Four firm managing complex multi-country operations.

Strong technical knowledge of tax compliance frameworks across Pacific Cluster countries, including indirect taxes, corporate income tax, and transfer pricing.

Experience working with US technical or corporate stakeholders and reporting requirements.

Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, along with advanced Excel skills.

Advanced English and Spanish language skills for regional and global communication.

Demonstrated experience in process standardization across countries with different operating models.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, leadership abilities, and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
What can you give a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

Master’s degree or specialization in Taxation.

Experience implementing tax automation tools and driving process improvement initiatives.

Familiarity with international tax standards and cross-border transactions.

Previous experience in multinational environments with a strong corporate profile and exposure to American business culture.

Experience leading small teams (2–3 people), including indirect team leadership and agency/vendor management.

Proven ability to adapt, build relationships with senior leaders, and influence across functions and countries.

Proactive leadership style, with strong people development capabilities and the ability to connect effectively with other leaders.

Experience supporting regional scopes within Latin America, ideally including Pacific Cluster countries.

Knowledge of the Colombia market is a plus.
