The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, minimum 7-10 years of Quality Engineering experience, and proficiency in statistical analysis software such as Minitab or JMP.
Additional responsibilities include mentoring associates in structured problem-solving tools, evaluating material specification changes, and leading investigations into field part failures.
The successful candidate will operate with minimal oversight, take initiative, and drive proactive problem resolution. They will also collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and possess strong analytical skills.
This role requires the ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5, including datum schemes and feature control frames. The candidate should also be proficient in MS Office, Minitab, and UniPoint.
In addition, the successful candidate will have experience with 3D modeling and CMM metrology software for dimensional analysis, measurement validation, GD&T verification, and inspection.
Decision-making expectations include defining and developing Critical to Quality standards, equipment and software upgrades, and driving continuous improvement activities.
