We are seeking an ADAS/AD Systems Engineer to find creative engineering solutions and develop automated driving technologies from concept level to production sign-off. As an ADAS/AD Systems Engineer, you will work on requirements, systems design & modeling, simulation of ADAS/AD features, and collaborate with AVL Global experts to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and define functional/non-functional requirements of ADAS/AD features with performance KPIs
- Design ADAS/AD features according to standards and legislations
- Create ADAS/AD systems specifications and models
- Design, model, test/simulate, document, and maintain ADAS/AD scenarios
- Collaborate with AVL Global experts to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends
Requirements:
- BSc. in Electronics, Controls, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Automotive engineering or other related area and preferably with MSc. or PhD. degrees
- Strong understanding of fundamentals of ADAS/AD and/or vehicle features (e.g. functions, algorithms, architectures etc.)
- Experience in the following areas; System engineering, ADAS/AD Scenario-based development, ADAS/AD simulation and AI-based applications
- Experience with requirements management tools such as Codebeamer / PTC Integrity / Polarion / DOORS or simulation tools such as AVL Scenario Simulator / CarMaker / etc.
- Good knowledge of ADAS/AD relevant safety standards & regulations, Functional safety (ISO26262) and SOTIF (ISO21448)
- Having programming experience in any language (Phyton, C#, etc) is a plus
- Fluent speaking and excellent writing skills in English and German
- Willingness to frequent and long-term travel abroad
