We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our team at FUCHS LUBRICANTS GERMANY GmbH in Kaiserslautern. As a Process Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of new products and processes.
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the interface between production, research and development, and quality assurance
- Supporting the scale-up process of new products from laboratory-scale to successful implementation on production lines
- Conducting cost estimates and planning, organizing, and implementing model part coatings in the Coating Center
- Developing innovative production and coating procedures and transferring them to series production
- Standardizing, analyzing, and continuously optimizing existing manufacturing processes to reduce production times and minimize defects
- Identifying, evaluating, and introducing new measurement and testing methods to determine relevant process parameters
- Conducting statistical process control (SPC) based on process data and deriving and initiating appropriate improvement measures
- Actively supporting production in the introduction and sustainable implementation of lean management methods and processes
- Ensuring and implementing all relevant requirements to meet the IATF standard in your area of responsibility
Requirements:
- Completed degree in Process Engineering, Coating Technology, Surface Technology, Technical Chemistry, or a related field
- Ideally, first practical experience in the field of coating or surface technology; a completed PhD in a related field is an advantage
- Comprehensive understanding of processes in a producing chemical company, particularly in the context of batch production
- Good knowledge of measurement, testing, and control methods as well as statistical experimental design and evaluation; secure IT knowledge is assumed
- Strong planning and organizational skills, as well as analytical, structured, and innovative thinking
- Team-oriented personality with self-reliant, solution-oriented working style
- Very good German or English language skills in writing and speaking, as well as excellent communication skills
