The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the site. Their permanent objective is to achieve their budget commitment measured by gross and operating margin, and inventory level.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the fundamentals in the plant: safety of employees, customer satisfaction, quality, and delivery within deadlines.
- Managing the profit and loss account through appropriate actions to adapt resources and costs to volume variations, and managing the launch costs of new programs.
Main missions related to the function are:
- Ensure the safety of employees.
- Ensure customer satisfaction: quality and deliveries.
- Manage variable margin: DLE and productivity, material consumption, reduction of rejects and reworks.
- Manage fixed costs.
- Manage inventories: appropriate management of information and physical flows in the factory.
- Define the layout of the factory allowing optimized flows and efficient use of equipment: capacity, reliability, operating costs, control of CAPEX.
- Drive continuous improvement and break plans through priorities and resources defined by the PIP (Factory Improvement Plan) and in line with medium-term objectives using Lean Management tools and methodologies.
- Contribute to the sales department for all negotiations with customers.
- Create the best conditions for production, secure launches, and ensure the profitability and competitiveness of new programs by working with the program team from the acquisition of these programs.
- Drive the improvement of supplier performance and material consumption with the purchasing department.
- Participate in the construction of the 'medium-term' vision of the factory.
- Ensure responsibilities and relationships with local authorities.
- Secure internal control with the support of the financial controller and network finance.
- Guarantee the recruitment, integration, training, involvement, and development of factory employees, particularly for managers and professionals.
- Develop their team, particularly through the deployment and fixing of objectives, the implementation of development actions, to prepare succession plans.
- Guarantee the evaluation process of team members.
- Manage social relations to ensure a good social climate.
- Drive their process and contribute to its deployment and continuous improvement (ISO, ...).
- Ensure the use of appropriate quality methods and standards (PMS, specific customer program management system, international regulations, ...).
Required knowledge:
- Knowledge in the analysis of production activity data from an industrial production.
- Knowledge in the management of actions to improve performance (quality, costs, and deadlines).
- Practically obliged to speak English and, depending on their environment, one or more foreign languages.
Required qualifications:
- Initial education or equivalent experience: BAC + 5 or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in operations management or factory management at a senior level in the automotive industry T1/rank 1.

- Communication and relational competence.
- Ability to direct complex and/or matrix organizations and define global strategies.
