Summary
McLaren Automotive are looking for a talented Tooling Technician at their Woking office. This role sits at the heart of manufacturing, ensuring that our production operations with the McLaren Production Centre (MPC) remain at the forefront of the industry. You'll work directly with the Production Steering Manager to shape and execute strategies that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and improve quality.
About the Role
As a Tooling Technician, you will play a critical role in shaping and executing strategies that optimize processes, enhance productivity, and improve quality. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on electronic digitally connected torque wrenches and other advanced tooling systems to ensure optimal functionality. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues related to tooling equipment and processes, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous production flow.
Accountabilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on electronic digitally connected torque wrenches and other advanced tooling systems to ensure optimal functionality.

- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to integrate the latest manufacturing technologies into existing systems, enhancing productivity and quality.
The Candidate we're looking for
Experience:
- Associate Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management or suitable industry experience.
- Minimum of 3yrs in manufacturing / production launch environment.
Technical skills:
- Experienced with low volume high-cost product manufacturing.
- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing systems.

- Highly motivated, resilient, assertive and process / data driven.
- Dynamic, with the ability to respond to challenging situations in an innovative manner.
