The research is carried out in cooperation with the Technical University Dresden and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Patrick Zschech. We are offering a doctoral thesis dealing with Artificial Intelligence solutions for resource portfolio management based on mathematical models teached and learning from big data sources. Data is everything: Analysis of big data sources, history of Project Portfolio Management data sources Mathematical Modeling & Parameter Analysis: Creation of mathematical models based on different parameters and different weighting factors for various project characteristics AI Algorithm: Create and program a machine learning AI algorithm for different purposes of project portfolio management and administration Advanced Mathematical & Statistical Methods: Involve different mathematical approaches including statistics, multi parameter room matrices and optimization methods Stakeholder Engagement & User-Centered Development: Involve stakeholder analysis in application development to increase user acceptance Scientific Work: 3-4 publications of applied AI in specific journals The learnings out of the thesis will lead to: Expertise in concrete application creation of maths-based AI algorithms A cross functional communication skill understanding and learning Very deep insight in multi parameter decision preparation based on simulation and parameter weighting dynamics Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Education: Master’s degree in mathematics or physics and a Master Thesis in the field of applied research, involving different disciplines Interests: Understanding different Machine Learning concepts with AI Algorithms Skills: Basic programming capabilities Experience: Intercultural experience is an asset, e.g. semester abroad Knowledge: Deep understanding of mathematical models for big data analysis and deep/teached learning algorithms based on statistics and singular events * Language skills: Fluently in English, willing to improve German language skills Contact: Lina-Marie Minuth #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
