Role Overview: As System Family Manager, you will be responsible for System Timing & Cost, working closely with the Cost Manager for Total Production Costs and Program Spending. You will collaborate with the system and sub-system tables to ensure the successful development and implementation of propulsion systems.
What You’ll Do:
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with the respective Chief (system or sub-system) to coordinate the cross-functional team (System Table / Sub-System Table).
- Governance and Reporting: Lead the propulsion system development process (PSDP) governance and reporting, including milestone reviews, program reviews, weekly meetings, and updates.
- Timing and Readiness Management: Manage timing and readiness for the assigned propulsion system perimeter, ensuring consistency between System and Sub-System and the complete Application Plan.
- Core Initiatives Preparation: Manage the preparation of core initiatives and core studies response.
- Budget Management: Work with PRS engineering functions, Planning, and VEMO to prepare ER&D budget convergence for milestone approval. Follow PRS governance for approval (PRS governance approval/GPCx).
- Cost Management: Under the Cost Manager’s responsibility, manage product cost and program budget during execution, including Total Product Cost (TPC), ER&D spending, and Capital Expenditure (CAPEX). If the project does not have a dedicated Cost Manager, the responsibility remains with the Family Manager.
- Industrial Synergies: Drive industrial synergies between conventional and hybrid variants with the sub-system family managers.
- Change Management: On behalf of the system chief, manage component change management of PRS.
- Global Communications: Handle cost and timing roll-up associated with global communications for system and program-related investigations.
Support Responsibilities:
- Vehicle Application Activities: Collaborate with Propulsion Systems Sub-System Technical Managers (SSTM) on Vehicle Application activities and Technical Functional Requirements.
- Quality & Value Optimization: Review actions and funding for quality and value optimization.
- Manufacturing Readiness: Support manufacturing readiness, production capacity investigations, and the creation of commercial and development contracts with suppliers.
- Product Strategy & Roadmaps: Contribute to product strategy and roadmaps. Stellantis is actively working on decarbonizing its ICE fleet through initiatives like eFuel testing on 28 engine families, aiming to reduce CO2 emissions significantly1. What You’ll Bring:
- Have at least 5-6 years of experience as planning manager in the automotive industry.

- Project Management Tools: Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project or similar.
- Mechanical & Electrical Hardware Knowledge: Base knowledge of mechanical and electrical hardware components in ICE systems.
- Calibration and Software in ICE: Base Expertise in calibration and software development for Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) systems.
- Planning Tools: Proficiency in planning tools like Planisware for project scheduling.
- Resource and Budget Management: Experience with methodologies for managing resources and budgets effectively.
