This role is part of Honda's Co-operative and Learning Internships Program, which provides students with hands-on experience in various fields, including energy and sustainability. The Energy and Sustainability Co-op/Intern will assist in the design and planning of EV charging initiatives, conduct analysis on EV charging patterns, and engage with vendors and stakeholders to facilitate the deployment of charging infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Assist in the design and planning of EV charging initiatives, including but not limited to Vehicle-One-Grid (V1G), Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X), and fast charging initiatives.
- Conduct analysis on EV charging patterns and suggest optimization strategies.
- Engage with vendors and stakeholders to facilitate the deployment of charging infrastructure.
What you need
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- General Engineering Coursework.
- Minimum 2.5 Cumulative GPA or higher.
- Class status- Sophomore (by credit hour) or above.
- Availability to work a minimum of 10 weeks at 40 hours per week.
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program studying Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- Ability to provide own transportation to and from work each day.
