What you'll do
The candidate assures quality products for our customer through the resolution of drivetrain warranty concerns by utilizing engineering theory and principles to identify the root cause of market problems with transmissions, transfers, rear differentials and related component parts.
- Perform all steps necessary to conduct root cause analysis of failed drivetrain warranty components including but not limited to component installation, removal, disassembly, reassembly, instrumentation, testing, CAN/NVH data collection, CAN/NVH data analysis, component measurements and interpret engineering drawings
- Compile detailed technical analysis reports summarizing disassembly observations, component measurements, test results, CAN/NVH data analysis, past problem history, manufacturing/vehicle history and failure cause
What you need
- Strong desire to be hands-on
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of automotive electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems and components and data acquisition software
