We are seeking an exceptional and highly experienced engineering leader to serve as our Head of Field Application Engineering (FAE) for India. In this strategic leadership role, you will define Infineon’s technical engagement vision and lead an expert FAE team to drive compelling customer success and pioneering design wins throughout key Indian market segments. Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role Be the trusted authority on power semiconductor solutions for high-power industrial applications and low-power embedded systems. Champion next-generation technologies (including GaN/SiC power solutions, advanced microcontrollers, and energy harvesting ICs) to drive customer innovation and business growth. Develop and execute technical strategies aligned with India’s evolving market needs--such as mobility electrification, industrial renewables, solar, hydrogen energy, and the explosive growth in low-power IoT. Lead, mentor, and expand a high-caliber team of Field Application Engineers, ensuring robust knowledge-sharing, resource optimization, and continuous upskilling. Collaborate closely with sales and marketing to identify and secure strategic design wins across industrial, consumer, and emerging segments, serving as the technical escalation point for complex challenges. Influence Infineon's global roadmap by translating unique customer requirements into actionable insights for worldwide R&D and product management teams. Drive technical enablement by training sales and distribution partners on advanced system designs and Infineon’s product advantages. Monitor the competitive landscape and formulate strategies that reinforce Infineon's leadership in power management and embedded solutions. Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering is required; Master’s degree preferred. Experience: 15–20+ years in high-impact technical roles in semiconductors (FAE, Systems, Architecture, Design Engineering). 5+ years in technical leadership, managing and developing senior technical teams (minimum 8 team members). Proven record of enabling significant business creation through customer engagement and technical excellence. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of high-power solutions: AC/DC and DC/DC conversion, power factor correction, motor drives, IGBT/MOSFET/GaN/SiC, and industrial power management. Familiarity with low-power embedded systems, microcontrollers (MCU), IoT protocols, and energy efficiency standards. Leadership & Communication: Exceptional executive-level presentation and negotiation skills. Demonstrated strategic thinking, business acumen, and cross-functional collaboration.
