The Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Steady State Electrical Diagnostician to support the integrity and reliability of electrical systems in production vehicles. In this role, you will diagnose and repair electrical concerns identified during End-of-Line (EOL) testing and in the assembly process.
The Electrical Diagnostician will work closely with repair teams and engineering to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and documented accurately. This position plays a critical role in maintaining EFTQ performance and supporting continuous improvement in plant operations.
What You'll Do:
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair on vehicles during EOL and in-process checks using diagnostic tools (GDS2/MDI/vSpy) and service information systems.
- Document root causes and corrective actions in GSIP and other reporting systems.
- Support repair teams with technical guidance and training on diagnostic tools and repair procedures.
- Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to identify recurring issues and assist in implementing solutions.
- Maintain knowledge of new model features and ensure proper repair methods are applied.
- Drive continuous improvement in repair processes and documentation.
- Support Electrical 5F report out
- Support Problem Solvers and GA team in Problem Solving
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in automotive electrical troubleshooting or repair.
- Background or interest in working on vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, EOL testing, and diagnostic tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions quickly with confidence.
- Ability to lead technical people and ability to effectively communicate highly technical subjects to non-technical people.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with high-voltage systems, ADAS, or infotainment technologies.
- Familiarity with plant operations.
- ASE Certification or similar.
