The Ford Puma Hybrid Rally1 is a top-specification rally car designed to the new-for-2022 FIA Rally1 technical regulations. It produces in excess of 500 bhp and 550 Nm of torque from its Ecoboost Hybrid powertrain. The car utilises an all-new bespoke tubular T45 steel space frame chassis, providing an enhanced safety cell for the crew. The Puma Hybrid Rally1 can also use the recovered energy for environmentally friendly and emission-free purposes, running exclusively on its battery-electric motor. The all-electric mode helps to ensure minimal environmental impact when travelling through towns, cities, service parks and chosen sections between stages. Thanks to its plug-in hybrid technology, the battery pack can also be recharged using a bespoke charging unit back in the service park. In addition to the emission-free electric powertrain, the internal combustion uses a fossil-free fuel that is made from 100% sustainable sources.
