This month's M-Sport Monthly Member Spotlight features Lucy Fulton, our Electrical Harness Technician. Lucy talks about her role in the electrical department and how she got started in the field.
What you'll do
My day to day as an Electrical Harness Technician involves stripping and rebuilding Rally1 starter motors for each event, building and repairing wiring harnesses and sensors for all projects, these being Rally1, Rally2, Dakar, GT3 and GT4, as well as doing jobs on customer looms.
What you need
When working as an Electrical Harness Technician skills such as soldering are very useful to have as some wiring looms involve this procedure. Skills like having an understanding of third angle projection drawings, attention to detail throughout work, crimping, splicing and using heat shrink materials are all important skills to have.
