What you'll do
As a Zemax Optics Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that involve the design and development of optical systems. You will be responsible for creating and testing numerical models to improve existing software functionality and add new capabilities. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with our team of experts to integrate machine learning techniques with traditional computational physics methods.
- Develop and apply machine learning models to analyze and predict optical phenomena based on simulation datasets.
- Collaborate with team members to integrate machine learning techniques with traditional computational physics methods (e.g., Monte Carlo simulations, geometric ray tracing).
What you need
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in optics and optical design research and development. You will also need to have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Pursuing a Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on optics and machine learning.
