What you'll do
You'll be a maintenance engineer at bp's Whiting refinery, working on unit maintenance and ensuring the smooth operation of the facility.
- Perform unit maintenance and repairs to ensure the facility operates efficiently and safely
- Conduct field walks, verifications, and gather data to identify potential issues
- Collaborate with the team to resolve technical problems and implement solutions
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge
- Work with the team to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
What you need
To succeed in this role, you'll need strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- 3+ years of experience in maintenance engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
Nice to have:
- Experience with CMMS software (Maximo, SAP, or similar)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
- Experience working in a refinery or similar environment
