What you'll do
Independent planning of tests and test campaigns, including test resources in the project (ve-hicles, modifications, facilities, material, and test engineering manpower) Development of efficiency-enhancing measures for testing tasks Management of test engineering in the project Mentoring new employees Preparation and commissioning of the test vehicle and measurement technology Flashing control units, performing learning routines, and reading error memory 1st level troubleshooting and documentation Planning, scheduling, and supervising test vehicle modifications in the vehicle workshop Planning, scheduling, and supervising vehicle tests in various test environments (e.g., emis-sions roller, roller, climate test benches, test track, public road) Conducting vehicle measurements on behalf of and according to the instructions or guidance of the calibration engineer Ensuring measurement quality in vehicle tests Flashing control units, performing learning routines, and reading error memory
What you need
• Completed apprenticeship as a car mechanic, mechatronics technician, or secondary college for technical education (e.g. HTL) degree in automotive engineering, mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, automotive engineering, or similar fields.Strong knowledge of thermodynamics concepts• Knowledge in mechatronics and automotive engineering • Previous experience with measuring instruments are advantageous• Previous experience in commissioning test vehicles are advantageous• Good knowledge of application tools (Inca, CANape, GST, etc.) • Proficiency in MS Office• Initial experience in the application and validation of control unit functions would be advantageous• English language skills (very good)• Communication skills and team spirit, and interest in working in international teams• Basic understanding of different vehicle systems (powertrain, ADAS, chassis, E/E, etc.)• Driver’s license for cars, additional licenses for trucks and/or trailers are advantageous• Willingness to travel
