What you'll do
Act as a liaison between the Quality and Manufacturing groups. Audit, enforce and train other associates on all aspects of the quality policy. Should be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.
- GD&T – Must be able to read, interpret and understand blue prints.
- Production Process – Should have a general knowledge of several production processes and how parts are produced and how characteristics impact downstream customers.
- Hold non-conforming materials (use inventory management).
- Sort through non-conforming material as necessary to aid in disposition.
- File and maintain in-process inspection reports.
- Assist Quality Technicians perform capability studies, Gage R&R’s and analyze process variances.
- Assist with running any extra testing required as part of validation process after quarantine.
- Problem solves (work with operations on shift to determine root cause of material on hold and make the appropriate changes to limit the amount of material placed on hold).
- Perform control plan audits. Work with Quality Engineers to update control plans as needed.
- Perform Process/Product and LPA Audits.
- Issue gages to production as necessary.
- Assist with or answer 8D assignments on customer rejects.
- Update ICP’s as needed for various programs as assigned.
- Ability to generate new form/work instructions/checksheets.
- Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as assigned and with PPAP’s.
- Fill in for Quality Technicians and Weld Analyst positions when needed.

- Minimum two (2) years general or specific experience in this field.
