What you'll do
Design advanced models and drawings of a variety of car components and chassis design. Verification of designs through own calculations, analysis and CAE. Ensuring the success of the design from inception through to production. Liaise with the Chief Designer and Engineers to improve and confirm the design to achieve maximum car performance, reliability and durability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, build, and procurement. Use theoretical knowledge of material science and mechanical engineering to resolve difficult problems. Assist the Chief Designer in supporting and mentoring Junior Designers.
What you need
We're looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:
- Educated to MEng or BEng degree level in Motorsport, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering, and have strong knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably CATIA V5.
- Solid understanding the latest manufacturing techniques and materials, and you should have meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills, and share our determination to deliver the very best results.
