What you'll do
As an R&D Engineer II at Synopsys, you will contribute to the development of software products and supporting systems. You will collaborate with a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements and advance the state of the art in engineering simulation user experience.
- Perform moderately complex development activities, including the design, implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modules and sub-systems
- Understand and employ best practices
- Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products
- Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develops solutions
- Understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues
What you need
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- BS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or other natural science disciplines with 2 years' experience or MS
- Working experience with technical software development proven by academic, research, or industry projects
- Good understanding and skills in object-oriented programming
