What this role is and why it exists.This role exists to ensure that ANSYS simulation products such as HFSS and HFSS 3D Layout meet and exceed the highest standards of quality, reliability, and usability for global customers.## What you'll doYou'll be designing, specifying, and maintaining comprehensive test cases and scripts to rigorously assess new features and product improvements. You'll conduct functional, application, regression, and performance testing in manual and automated test environments across Windows, Linux, virtual machines, compute clusters, and cloud platforms. You'll develop and execute detailed test plans; actively participate in defect management processes and contribute to testing metrics and reporting. You'll investigate, reproduce, and diagnose product defects, and collaborate closely with developers to identify effective solutions and resolutions. You'll apply industry-standard testing methodologies and ensure alignment with company-wide development and quality assurance processes. You'll review and approve product releases, ensuring all feature specifications and quality standards are met prior to deployment. You'll collaborate with geographically distributed teams, sharing insights and best practices to elevate product quality and user experience.## What you needYou'll need a Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or a related field with at least 3 years of experience, or a Master's degree (MS) with at least 1 year of experience. You'll need strong technical knowledge of high-frequency principles and applications, including RF and microwave electronics, signal and power integrity, PCBs and IC packages, and EMI/EMC. You'll need hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages, especially Python, for automation and test development. You'll need proficiency in working with both Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms; comfort in adapting to various computing environments such as VMs, clusters, and cloud.
