Join the FIA and contribute to the transformation of its financial operations. As a General Ledger Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient accounting across the FIA’s international structure. This position is central to the FIA’s modernisation of its organisational setup, processes, and systems.
Working across three organisations located in France and Switzerland, you will manage accounting and tax responsibilities that span both jurisdictions. Your expertise in French and Swiss frameworks will be key to supporting the FIA’s mission of operational excellence.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
ACCOUNTING & REPORTING
- Participate in annual and quarterly closings
- Reconcile general accounts and record closing entries
- Manage fixed assets and ensure accurate reporting
- Prepare financial reports for the three entities
TAX MANAGEMENT
- Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- File declarations of trade in goods (DEB)
- Manage French annual fee filings
- Follow up on withholding tax obligations
STOCK & PAYROLL
- Manage stock inventory
- Coordinate with payroll provider and perform monthly reconciliations
PROCESS IMPROVEMENT & COLLABORATION
- Contribute to departmental projects aimed at improving productivity, efficiency, and organisation of accounting processes and tools
- Collaborate effectively across departments to support the FIA’s transformation initiatives
PROFILE:
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- Minimum of five years of accounting experience
- Proficient knowledge of French accounting standards and the Swiss Code of Obligations
- Demonstrated experience in French tax obligations and VAT declaration
- Strong expertise in closing processes and reconciliations
- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems (ideally Sage X3)
- Full proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Pragmatic, result-oriented mindset with curiosity and adaptability
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
- High standards of confidentiality and thoroughness
- Professional fluency in English; French or other languages are a plus
