Hendrick Motorsports, fifteen-time NASCAR CUP Champion, is currently seeking an Engine Tech.
Summary:
- Underthe general direction of the Engine Production Manager, the engine technicianis responsible forassembling enginesandmeasuring, inspecting, and assembling components to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following:
- Clean EnginePost Raceand Flush Fluids.
- Inspector Change Valve Springs, Pushrods, and Rocker’s.
- Fill outallMSM, Dyno Sheets, and Confirm Cycles.
- Maintain and lubricate parts and components for assembly.
- Verify conformance of parts to specifications using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
- Install Spark Plugs, Belts, Intake,andsourceFuel Pump for Engine Dyno.
- Maintain and lubricate parts and components.
- Serviceand prep Oil Filters for Engine Delivery.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Education/Experience:
- Requires working knowledge of basic mechanical skills and competencies.
- Must have a proventrack recordof building race engines. Mustpossessa sound understanding of internal combustion engines.
Communication Skills:
- Mustpossessstrong communicationskills and an excellent sense of customer satisfaction, communicating with other departments, andperform workastimelyand precisely as possible.
- The position requires regular and predictable attendance.
- Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Requires vision (near, distance, depth) and ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) –safety glasses.Constantly manually manipulates.
- Frequently stands, walks, sits, reaches outward, lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, and pushes/pull up to 40 pounds.
- Occasionallyreaches above shoulder, climbs, crawls, squats or kneels, bends, lifts/carries over 100 pounds, and pushes/pulls up to 100 pounds.
Certificates and Licenses:
- Requires basic computer skills.
