BMW Group Ireland have a new and exciting opportunity available to fill the role of Head of Sales and Marketing. This role is based in our head office in Santry, Dublin.
This role is responsible for leading the Sales function of BMW Ireland and directing all sales actions necessary to achieve the company’s objectives in the Irish market.

- Maximise exploitation of all sales channels for BMW cars to enable the company’s sales revenue and profit objectives to be achieved whilst balancing with continued sales support efforts.
- Motivate and develop the Sales department team to achieve their personal best results through excellent leadership and demonstrate the BMW brand and the company’s values by example.
- Responsible for achievement of sales volume, turnover, cost of retail and contribution margin and segment share targets.
- Collaborate and lead The New Retail project integration into IE Market, ensure Retailers are enabled to sell and deliver cars in TNR systems.
- Coordinate marketing activities across Digital, National Comms and Retailer Marketing ensuring budgets are utilised in an efficient manner with focus on key models.
- Plan and steer sales / production volume within Programme, Forecast, Budget and LRP planning processes
- Perform sales volume reporting; develop business scenarios for opportunities / risk assessment. Develop and implement used car business; define standards, Plan BMW Used Car sales volume and targets.
- Plan disposal of ex-fleet cars to achieve volume targets combined with required residual values.
- Take responsibility for planning, monitoring and reporting for BMW retailer new, young used and used car targets across the network.
- Collaborate with BMW UK departments.
What should you bring along?
- 3rd Level primary degree (or equivalent) or extensive industry experience.
- Extensive senior management experience across automotive industry.
- Full understanding of automotive industry and sales process development/ management.
- Strong analytical and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership skills, visionary approach to marketing and exceptional communication skills.
- Wide understanding of all sales approaches and future trends and applications
- Exceptional understanding of Irish Motor industry trends, competitor operations and behaviours.
- Excellent industry network contacts.
