As the Material Procurement Manager at the Global Artisan Innovation Center (GAIC), you will lead a global team across North America and India responsible for procuring materials for pre-production builds, engineering testing, and ultra-low volume production vehicles. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Planning teams to develop and execute global pre-production programs, ensuring robust material procurement strategies for innovative, globally developed vehicles. What You’ll Do Lead material procurement for pre-production builds, engineering tests, and ultra-low volume production vehicles. Order, track, and expedite parts for build events and engineering development requirements across multiple sites (Warren GAIC, Milford Proving Grounds, Brownstown, Pontiac, and others). Manage indirect material procurement for facilities in Warren, Pontiac, and Milford. Oversee material procurement for production vehicles within the Artisan Innovation Center. Utilize Engineering Material System (EMS) as the Material Resource Planning (MRP) tool. Manage offsite storage facility in Grand Blanc for pre-production and production materials. Support special project procurement via miscellaneous material orders. Drive resolution for late part deliveries and ensure timely availability of materials. Teach DRE Essentials Class to support team development. Collaborate with global teams to execute procurement strategies aligned with vehicle development processes. What You’ll Need Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 7+ years in Supply Chain Management or related field. High-level analytical ability to solve complex, unusual problems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills to lead, motivate, and facilitate collaboration. Proven ability to manage people and teams. Experience with Global Vehicle Development Process . Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of Engineering Material System (EMS) . Experience in Global Supply Chain operations. Vehicle program launch experience. Leadership experience in global team environments.
