Job Purpose
The Customs Sr. Administrator manages international and domestic shipments to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery while maintaining compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and supply chain security standards. The role also supports C-TPAT compliance and coordinates closely with internal teams, brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
Key Accountabilities
Customs Compliance & Documentation
Prepare/review customs documents and HTS codes, ensure regulatory compliance, liaise with brokers and agencies, audit invoices, resolve trade issues, and support cost-reduction efforts.
Logistics Operations
Manage shipping methods, carriers, and urgent shipments; coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for timely delivery.
International Accounting Support
Ensure transactional accuracy between Procurement, Receiving, and Accounting; handle reconciliation processes.
C-TPAT Program Management
Maintain compliance through audits, validations, and training.
Financial & Administrative Support
Audit invoices, assist with budget planning, and provide reconciliation reports.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Education: AA degree minimum; BA/BS in International Business or related field preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in import/export operations and trade compliance.
Expertise in HTSUS classification and customs regulations.
Knowledge of CBP programs and statutes.
Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
Advanced MS Office proficiency; database experience preferred.
Customs Broker license desirable.
