About the role
As our Allround Finance Employee, you’ll take ownership of all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, structure, and compliance. You’ll provide clear insights to management, oversee daily accounting activities, and drive improvements across our financial processes.
Working closely with the Finance Administrator, you’ll manage everything from budgeting and reporting to tax compliance and asset management, ensuring our finances run smoothly year-round.
Responsibilities
Oversee the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger, ensuring proper posting and classification of transactions.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing, collections, and supplier payments.
Maintain and reconcile bank accounts, petty cash, and intercompany balances.
Prepare and process payments and batches.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closings, including reconciliations and accruals.
Prepare, analyse, and present financial statements and management reports.
Support the preparation of the annual financial statements and coordinate with external auditors and advisors.
Monitor annual budgets, forecasts, and cash-flow projections.
Support decision-making with financial modelling and scenario planning.
Prepare and file VAT returns (domestic and EU) and coordinate VAT refunds.
Ensure compliance with Dutch and European financial legislation and internal policies.
Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate capitalization and disposals.
Calculate and record depreciation and conduct periodic reviews of asset values.
Monitor asset purchases, leases, and disposals, ensuring proper accounting treatment.
Assist with inventory valuation and reconciliation.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Identify opportunities to automate and improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Support management with cost control, efficiency initiatives, and process optimisation.
Act as the primary point of contact for all financial and administrative queries.
What you bring
A relevant qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics
Fluent in English and Dutch, both spoken and written (mandatory).
3–5 years of experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
Solid knowledge of relevant Dutch and European financial laws and regulations.
Experience with financial administration software, preferably Twinfield or a comparable system.
Proactive and solution-oriented attitude with a strong eye for detail.
Available for 40 hours per week.
Lives within a maximum travelling distance of 60 km from Zeewolde.
