Simulation and Design: Utilize modern software to simulate the behavior of photonic interconnects, such as micro lenses and photonic wires, and apply this to guide your design Characterization: Measure the beam profile of the simulated and designed structures using our integrated photonic measurement setup after fabrication by our project partners Write a Master's Thesis: Summarize your findings in a thesis while examining the state of the art and comparing your results Education: Pursuing a Master's degree in Photonics, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or a similar field, with strong academic results Knowledge and Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, MATLAB, or similar, with knowledge of waveguides and optics as a plus Hands-on Experience: Basic competence in working in a lab environment, and preferred experience in simulation suites such as COMSOL and ANSYS Lumerical Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively, independently structure research and writing processes, and a mindset motivated to explore new topics Teamwork: capable of working effectively in an international team Language Skills: Fluent in English, German is a plus We are on a journey to create the best Infineon for everyone.
