Job Purpose
The Assistant Manager, Zone Sales supports achieving Field Office Business Objectives, primarily focused on
sales targets for both New and Certified vehicles, customer satisfaction, and brand retention.
This position is also responsible for supporting the development of skills and competencies of the Zone field sales associates.
Key Accountabilities
Lead, motivate, encourage, and develop District Sales Manager team.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with Dealership personnel to gain regular feedback on the business environment, assist with wholesale objectives, and prompt action to improve Dealership performance.
Monitor and track objectives for new retail, certified retail, and market and develop solutions to address Dealership/Market performance challenges.
Engage Dealership Advertising Associations to maximize budget, address market concerns, and ensure alignment with National objectives.
Support the development of strategic programs aimed at accelerating sales pace and addressing inventory challenges.
Partner with District Sales Manager team in implementing effective Incentives strategy.
Provide support to the Zone Sales Manager in pursuing and monitoring key business objectives aligned with National/Zone business priorities.
Monitor and track allocation performance to achieve wholesale objectives.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
4-year bachelor degree, business/economics relevant degree preferred.
Equivalent job experience and proven leadership capabilities and skills.
Extensive knowledge of and experience with PC based tools and applications.
7-10 years of experience in sales related environment.
Experience with being a member of a team that is focused on total team achievement.
Strong desire to lead and develop individual team members.
Working knowledge of the automotive retail environment preferred.
Proficiency in all MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Excellent communications, presentation and customer service skills.
Ability to resolve issues, handle conflicts, and adapt to challenges.
Working Conditions
This is a developmental rotational position. Incumbents are expected to rotate into the AZM–Business Improvement and the AZM–Market Retention positions in the field and Assistant Manager positions at the National office.
Willingness to rotate positions and relocate to the corporate office is necessary.
